Tired of Olympics 24-7? Premiering tonight on the Sundance Channel, this 6-part series follows architecture students at Tulane University who are part of the URBANbuild program. These students are designing and building low income housing as part of the rebuilding of New Orleans. Find out more tonight at 10pm on Sundance.

We thought you might enjoy this example of unique home site locations. Clingstone, a mansion in Rhode Island’s Narraganesset Bay, has withstood 103 years of waves crashing against its rocky home. It is maintained by its 79-year-old owner, along with a town of loving volunteers. Check out this slide show of stunning images of this unique home.

 
Big thanks to everyone for attending our recent book signing and Rincon open house event co-sponsored by OK, the awesome design store in West Hollywood. 600+ people toured the new Rincon and had the opportunity for Ron and Leo to personally sign their books. It was a fun-filled night with design world celebrity guests and a Japanese theme! Thanks to Larry and all the staff at OK for their involvement and selections of lovely lifestyle accessories throughout the home.

We were honored to have lush landscaping provided by Monrovia Growers, a local green-based horticultural company that shares a passion for Distinctively Better plants, and amazingly they are members of the FSC. Thanks to Kathy at Monrovia.

The gorgeous bedding in the Rincon was provided by local luxury textiles gurus, Matteo Home. Their exclusive range of bedding is distributed by the finest specialty stores and interior designers. Check out KTLA’s follow up interview with Leo Marmol at the completed Palms House in Venice. You’ll recall they were at the installation of the home on June 3rd and 4th, it only took 2 days to install the entire house!They were back to see the home in its finished state, it took about 8 weeks to complete the finishing touches and now its ready to live in.
